Love Language is a book about love: platonic, familial, and romantic. It is a book about the innocence of childhood friendships, the sacrifices of family members, the inexperience of first romances, and the acceptance that we all communicate love in different ways. Through second helpings of pasta, forbidden cash allowances, story-telling at the dinner table, and carrying textbooks in the hallway, the narrator and the people she encounters through childhood, adolescence, and adulthood had created their own “love language.”
