Niagara Street

by Stanley Teclaw

Stanley Teclaw, born in 1960 to a mother who grew up in Toronto’s Polish immigrant community. Teclaw writes meticulously detailed, droll tales based on his mother’s vivid oral history about her parents’ move from Poland to North America in 1910. These stories document the vitality and the struggle of Poles living in Toronto during two world wars and the depression.
