Aphrodite Sahlas, twenty-one when she wrote these stories, was born in Toronto in 1973, the daughter of parents who immigrated from Greece. Sahlas writes comic stories about modern, sophisticated young women who take risks to explore their freedom, their sexuality and the potentials and pitfalls of relations with others.
