"Reincarnation"

tonight's Show

Tonight, Life Rattle #1176, features a classic story from Sueng Lee.

Set in Seoul, South Korea, "Reincarnation," is an unexpectedly hilarious tale of a Jaleegaejee-Goot, a traditional Korean post-funeral ritual to bring peace to her deceased father.

Seung Lee, whose stories have appeared on Life Rattle over the years, was born the youngest of seven children in 1963, in Soeul, Korea, where she grew up and finished high school. In 1983 Seung Lee came to Canada to study. She spent four years at the Ontario College of Art and Design, and then worked freelance. She was a resident at the Harbourfront Textile Studio for three years.
In the mid-90's Seung Lee went to California to work for a year, then returned to Korea as a tourist. She travelled around the country before returning to Toronto in 1998. Seung Lee currently writes stories and works as a freelance artist and as an interpreter for a community health care centre in the city.
