Tonight, Life Rattle Number 1211 features a new story by Nicola Holmes, aired to celebrate Pride 2012.

Nicola Holmes was born in 1975 to Canadian doctors living in New Zealand, soon followed by one brother upon the family's return to Canada. Holmes lived in Sioux Lookout and Toronto before the age of five, and was subsequently raised in Peterborough, Ontario. She studied "Family and Social Relations" at university, worked extensively in the non-profit sector, and then embarked on an Masters of Education. Nicola Holmes is currently a private Life Coach, a Health Literacy Educator and a Crisis Counsellor for assaulted women.

Tonight's featured story, "One of the Boys," is a refreshing coming out story. It chronicles the sexual life of a man who is very comfortable in his own skin. We follow his sexual awakening, then experimentation and then on to his joyful embracing of the dynamic Gay community of Toronto in the 1970’s.
