tonight's Show

Life Rattle No. 1306 features three classic stories from Life Rattle writer Vanessa Mariga.

Vanessa Mariga was born the younger of two daughters, in Sudbury in 1979, and grew up in Lively, Ontario, just outside of Sudbury. She went to an all-girls school in Sudbury before starting University of Toronto at Mississauga in 1998. She graduated in 2002 then went on to study graduate journalism at Humber College.

On last month’s Classics Show, Vanessa Mariga read a series of stories set in and concerning her home town. On tonight’s program we’re going to hear three more stories by Mariga, about being young and beautiful and having a damn good time.

Set in a variety of clubs, with an assortment of quirky, funny, coarse and cute friends, lovers, bastards and bouncers, Vanessa Mariga writes with honest, direct prose that will make you want to put on something tight and shiny and stay out till three. Listen…then go party.

Life Rattle stories often contain strong language and adult situations. And trust me, this is probably just about the most foul language show you will hear on Life Rattle. The swearing in these stories is not gratuitous, it is honest. Listener discretion is advised.
